With bloodied hands

by The Pessimistic Peabody   Oct 19, 2007

With bloodied hands I lay the bricks again
Once again blocking the hole
I carefully seal up every crack
To be indestructible, my only goal

No windows, or doors or even a light
Shall grace my self-made cell
I'm choosing to fight my war alone
Inside this dark and gloomy hell

No wrecking ball can break these walls
So no silly heroes will appear
To laugh at all my weaknesses
Or watch me drowning in my tears

So you bricks I made with blood and sweat
Let not my cries echo past
Masquerading devils I need not
let former folly's be my last
