Waiting

by Dina   Oct 19, 2007

EVERY NIGHT, WHEN PAIN FILLS EVERY HEART
AND WHEN SADNESS DRIVES THE WORLD CRAZY,
I SIT NEAR MY WINDOW
WITH HOPE IN MY EYES
I JUST SIT THERE
WAITING FOR YOU TO SMILE
WAITING FOR A MEMORY
TO REVIVE IN MY MIND
AND MY EYES BEGIN TO CRY
AS EVERY REMINISCENT MOMENT SPENT WITH YOU
PASSES THROUGH MY MIND
AND I LOOK AGAIN AT THE AZURE SKY
HOPING FOR A WINK
HOPING FOR A TEAR
HOPING FOR SOMETHING REAL,
AND I GET NOTHING
I GET NO WORDS
I GET NO KISSES
I GET NO PROMISES
I GET NOTHING SUPERSTICIOUS
AND I CRY
WHILE BRINGING A RED PIECE OF PAPER
AND WHILE HANGING IT NEAR MY BEDROOM WINDOW
AND I CRY EVEN HARDER
AS I WRITE THE WORDS
I'll wait for you all my life!
