Dark Night... Empty Bottle

by Twisted Heart   Oct 21, 2007

Another night of loneliness,
as wine tips from my breath
Among the darkened shadows
is its comforting caress
Inside my heart the pain is strong
and finds a haven there
To hold my broken soul
as the shards rip in despair.

Upon the moon a pitch so deep
that only I can see
The shape of all the lies that live
inside my memories
A hunger holds upon my mind
as distant night now calls
Into the hollow of my heart
as dreams in darkness fall.

Too many times I found a way
to hide among the stars
My mind, but just a stranger,
to the hole inside my heart
A soul so lost inside the dreams
that haunt my yesterdays
That I still held a hope of love
despite the games you played.

But now this empty bottle
is the refuge for my pain
Against the amber color
of the glass, my blood is stained
No liquid love is flowing from
the soul that lies in wait
Just empty bits of loneliness
and truths that came too late.

Wow. that was a really good piece. You didn't have any flow or rhyme off, and no grammar errors that I could see.
