As the dawn is coming,
Up and awakens the Dawn Marchers,
As they march alone,
Their stride never wavering,
They sing,
“As we walk along,
If you meet us now,
This side of dawn,
You shall die,
By the hand of us,
The Dawn Marchers.”,
If at this hour you are awoken,
You shall hear this chant,
If you hear this chant,
I worn you this,
Hide somewhere safe,
For if they see you,
You shall be dead,
Before you open your mouth,
They ride upon the dawn breeze,
Their skin pale and worn,
Countless contraries they have been wondering,
On this earth in a blind march,
Walking with no aim,
Walking with no purpose,
Walking towards the sun,
No one knows how they begun their march,
Except Dawn herself,
Dawn long ago went away never to return,
Some say she left the dawn marchers,
Some say she was once the leader,
Some say she left them for her revenge,
Some say they are her revenge on human kind,
That they do her bidding,
Every marcher once had a name,
Now all 300 have do not remember what those were,
Now each and every member has a call sign,
A name of sorts, some way to tell,
To tell whom they really are,
The leader, Torn Soul,
Walks at the front her stride strong,
At the back the newest member,
Stumbles in the wake of the rest,
A mere child she is,
Marchers of ever age,
Striding along side by side,
All joined on their dieing day,
On the strike of dawn,
As the Dawn Marchers blade fell upon them,
They joined their ranks,
Every on equal,
Every one there for the same reason,
They didn’t hide as the chant went on,
They kept where they were,
In plain sight,
The chant freezing them in place,
As the blades descended on the,
In an instance they would never return,
To the mortal realms,
Now they all up hold this chant,
“As we walk along,
If you meet us now,
This side of dawn,
You shall die,
By the hand of us,
The Dawn Marchers.”
Now forever cursed,
To sing this chant,
And march along in the wake,
Of Torn Soul,
And the rest of the marchers,
On day maybe they can be free,
Maybe one day they will stop their march,
But for now,
I would tell you,
Watch out for the Dawn Marchers,
For if they see you,
You shall be dead,
Before you open your mouth,
so for yourself,
watch out.
