You Pulled the Trigger

by Ryn Garcia   Oct 21, 2007

As I stood there silently, awaiting your presence, the night grew dark and cold.
Silence fills the room, every crack and crevice, when you hear the sudden - BOOM.
Rewind, go back to the beginning.
Here we are for the first time meeting at work, fast forward: "We're too good of friends"
To the end, watch a movie; your lips tingle as mine press against yours.
You can't wait; movie is now over we're merged as one, bonded.
There is a gun, 9mm with ammunition that could only silence the beating of hearts.
You carefully aim the gun at mine, squeeze the trigger of love and - BOOM, BOOM, BOOM the place is lit, orange, red, yellow, darker
You pulled the trigger, took away my heart, gave yours away.
LEFT FOR DEAD.
