A Withered Memory

by Jini   Oct 22, 2007

A childhood lost to traitorous nightmares
pain, hate, and agony alike.
Fighting and yelling, screaming and hurting
was all that I can really remember.

One by one people began to die,
like a leaf they dropped from the family tree.
Soon came the worst
the loss of a hero, a friend, the one and only, my dad.

If I could turn back time,
back to when there wasnt a care.
I would save my life from crashing,
falling, and hitting hard.

If that were only possible,
but its plainly not you see.
so the only thing left to do,
is move on and be the best that I can be.

I am so sorry that you had to go through that. But you are so good at expressing your self in poetry. We all have a talent and yours is poetry.
