Lips of Deceit

Lips of Deceit

He smiles at me devilishly
How does he affect me that way?
Sinful chills race upon my spine
I know I need to turn away.

But I look into those blue, blue eyes
And take a seat next to him.
Inside my mind is saying "RUN!"
And danger's on the brim.

So I try to make conversation
But his lips of deceit spill out
Words that require my attention
Leave my thoughts all about.

Hanging on every syllable
I crave whatever he will give.
Suddenly I'm like a slave
And he decides if I'll live.

So each breath waits for his ok
I dare not exhale without consent.
If only I had walked away
I would not feel this torment.

Breaking these chains of his
Has become my life long goal
For if I let him keep taking me
I will lose my life, my soul.

I put in the ear plugs I had
And pulled down the shades on my eyes
I cannot be affected by him
If I can't hear his sin-sweet lies.
