I sit in this light
of this very sin
This is my life
horror since it began
To my Lord
I dearly pray,
“Take this life,
please today
I don't want to wake
to the morning light
I never want to see
the sun or day in my sight
I don't ask much,
but I ask thee,
take this life
away from me
I love my family
and my friends,
but I can't take it
make it end!”
For these words
I pray to thee
Be my savor
make me free!
