Imaginary Salvation

by Jenni Marie   Oct 22, 2007

Unicorns race along the street
Fur so dazzling, shiny and white
Their horns gleaming in daylight
Sun shining down so bright

Fairy's flutter their silver wings
Mischievous grins on their face
Gazing at them in contentment
My heart beginning to race

Elves wander around gardens
Long stalks so lush and green
Little feet scurrying about
A magical summer's dream

No time for melancholy
Just bright happy smiles
Beautiful sounds of laughter
Everything is so worthwhile

Whenever life becomes difficult
Recall wonderful thing's I've seen
Retreating back into the past
Of my glorious childhood dreams
