The Church is Burning, The World is Burning.

by Weeping Wolf   Oct 23, 2007

We hear on the news, the Church is burning.
on a Sunday morning,
We listen to our hearts, our innocence is yearning
as Malibu is burning.

Wrap up your children
and grab your dogs
ashes cover the ground
all along Santa Clarita.

Then a fire egnites.
And another
And another
And another
Till tenfold and more and consuming our homes,
We drive at record speeds, but the smoke still beats us
Because you can't escape something surrounding you.

Wrap up your children
and grab your dogs
ashes cover the ground
all along Santiago.

I feel my world is burning, burning, to the ground
And this hurt is churning, churning, all around.
And theres no light for hope, because the sun is gone
And theres no point in going back, because there is no home.

And all we see is Orange
and all we taste are ashes
and all we feel is darkness
sweeping over our hometown.

Abandon your homes
and escape your lives
because fallen burnt trees
are all along Canyon Country.

And only the music halts the madness
and only the site keeps us in reality.
As we run...
