Multi-Colored Freedom

by Johnnys Medicine   Oct 23, 2007

The barren tree reaches up like a hand into the sky
As if to catch the placid colors of the wind
The wind itself dances around the tree with a colorful sigh.

Faster and faster the colors fly
'Round and 'round the tree
Up and down through the sky

The tree breaks with a loud crash of laughter
Flying up into the sky of color
Still flying faster and faster.

Then the grass, waving with ecstasy,
Grows high up into the multi-colored air
Waving, waving because they're free.
