He Doesn't Even Know (Ottava Rima)

Title:He Doesn't Even Know
Style: Ottava Rima
Author: Kristi H.

I look into the eyes,
That empty into lakes,
Which seem to run dry,
Attempting to escape.
I see how he makes my,
Fragile, small, heart break.
I stare and watch him laugh,
As the seconds seem to pass.

He makes me want to cry,
As bitter jealousy hates;
I used to wonder why,
The world invented fate.
The minutes tick on by,
As a best friend wakes today.
But I stand near the grass,
As my world walks past.

It seems this moment's right,
To get to school today.
We must get to class on time,
Without a moment's waste.
The thoughts within my mind,
Are circling out of place.
I let this moment last,
As time with him goes fast.

This was a very good poem. I enjoyed reading it and I connected with it. Very good job. I know when I'm with my boyfriend time just seems to go right on by me.
