Love's quest

by Oracle   Oct 23, 2007

So long has our rivalry existed,
so little has our peace been known.

discreet messages i passed to you,
and received them in return as well.

is it so strange and forbidden,
this love of ours?

as quick as the wind takes the rose's petals to the sky,
we grew fond of each other within our eternity.

i never would have imagined this kind of euphoria,
yet now i feel as if life cannot go on without it.

you and i have been shot through the heart several times,
never really deserving the pain nor the comfort of it.

our first real kiss lasted for so long,
and our hearts raced as we realized what we did.

locks of hair appeared as a halo upon you,
my angel and devil of love.

we never knew what temptation was until we met,
and even now we can't express our love.

prisoners of fate,
lovers born out of hate,
never meant to mate,
denied passage through the keeper's gate.

though we may wander around in sorrow,
our love tale is not at the end quite yet.

let us silently go to where most fear to pass to...
only then can we be in our Eden once again.

let us blissfully rest in Hell,
where all is real for us.

That was one amazingly powerful write. I loved the ending and the beginning... and the middle! Why would I forget the middle? ;)

You did an outstanding job. As always. 5/5
