It's My Fault Your Not Here.

by Angel Of Death   Oct 23, 2007

I love you so much,
Yet I push you away.
I'm sorry I do this,
Please don't think it's a game.

I want you and need you,
That's true from my heart.
But because of things I do,
What we may have will never start.

I always believed that if I didn't let you near,
That I would never be hurt because you wouldn't mean that much.
But the fact of the matter is, I've hurt myself,
Because I pushed you so far, I can't feel your touch.

Baby come back, I'm sorry, blame me.
I didn't want to hurt you, I hope you can see.
I wish I could explain why I treated you this way,
But I can't even tell you I need you to stay.

It's my fault your not here,
I know I caused this mess.
I know you wouldn't have walked away,
If I didn't treat you like the rest,
If I had made it easy for you to stay.

xx love

Realizing you push people away like this is the first step in learning not to do it, I'm having to learn not to push the people I love away too =P The emotions in this poem were fantastic *which is the most important thing in a poem if you ask me* and it all flowed together great =) 5/5
