A heart that bleeds

by Jessi   Oct 23, 2007

You're body's stretched across the void
Laying limp and bent, almost destroyed
You reach deep down into your soul
Trying to find where you were whole

Removing pain from the inside
Your mind is closed, your heart has died
The answers come, the answers go
The bitter blood continues to flow

You take the chance, forget the risk
Going back to true love's first kiss
Like a rose, pressed and broken
Choosing words never to be spoken

Keep the truth locked and chained
All the things that have remained
Love to live, choose to lose
A life to give, a heart to use

Light the fire full of hatred
Of hopes and all dreams faded
Find me lying where I belong
Tell me I’m right when I’m wrong

Save me from salvation
Keep me from creation
Throw stones at my glass roof
Lock me in my booth
Feeling bullet proof

Further apart from love

Moving closer to fate
Hiding from the world I hate
