Love Conquers All

At night I lie in bed and pray
That you'll come back to me.
The moon is full; The stars are bright,
But your face is all I see.

The cricket, making music,
Plays a song of love.
The eagle soars, flying high,
In the sky above.

The wind as if it's whining,
Howls out in agony.
This love we had was so perfect.
How did this fate come to be?

As I stare out into darkness,
I think of reason as to why.
Why is my love so strong for you
That it can never die?

I began pondering on this question.
Putting in it alot of thought.
Then I thought back to all the love and trust
That our relationship had brought.

And even though our lives
Are like a roller coaster ride,
Pain can never hide the love
I have for you locked inside.

And in three words,
I can sum up it all.
And know that I stand true to this.
Situation: big or small.

No matter what should happen
Between our rise and our fall.
Know that above everything else,
Love will always conquer all.

Shakespeare said: "Love is not Love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove..."

"Love will always conquer all."..What a wonderful, meaningful statement..

This line becomes deeper and deeper and even more esoterically charged as time, itself, (main component of 'always'..;-)...goes on...

This piece is a sweet rendering of a timeless dilemma...

(PS..I think, in line 9, that you meant 'whining')
