Hundredth Pill

by xoxShorteexox   Oct 23, 2007

Her dyed black hair, painted nails and marked arms drove people away,
They always said she was different; she just wanted someone to save her from herself,
She was just the same as everyone else, except for the walls she built around her heart,
She never smiled nor laughed; she just did her schoolwork then dazed into her imaginings,
She was the silent type until she made a friend; she never admitted she wasn't okay,
But that good friend always knew she really wasn't; her friend was her world for the longest time,
Until the day her friend's life was taken by a car accident; her dramatic death thoughts were so tragedic,
She finally got all the pills in her house while her parents were away; popped one after the one for hours,
Until death claimed her life with her hundredth pill; that last pill became her true savior from herself.

Oooo.. this poem was so, wow. Just amazing in every single way. The first line alone just gave me shivers and I couldn't take my eyes away as I read it. The title caught my attention and wouldn't let go. Great job, I loved it so much. You're a great writer. 5/5 <3 <3 <3
