The Devoted Vampire

by Nikki   Oct 23, 2007

There is something about you,
That makes the moon gleam,
And casts your shadow for me to see,
As I watch on helplessly,
Through the darkest nights
Of my life.

You come to see me,
In hope that I might feed
On our love which should not be.
It can never be sealed,
With a deadly kiss, all I can give
Is a life of shamefulness.

We should have never met,
Things have got too far.
A cautious stroke is too much risk,
As one day I won't resist,
I'll unleash my lustful passion,
Sealing your fate; a bloodless state.

I will always adore you,
You have captured my soul,
But we must leave each other
While you are whole,
As I would never forgive myself
If I made you one of me.

Before it's too late,
I stab this stake
Into myself, your devoted soul mate.
I could never harm my one true goddess,
Don't be sad, I can rest, knowing
You may find a life of happiness.

There is something about you,
That makes the moon gleam,
And casts your shadow for me to see,
As I watch on helplessly,
Through the darkest nights
Of my life.
