Thanks I Think

by needsxanxescape   Oct 23, 2007

-I look up at the sky
and I could almost cry

-That Saturday blue sky morning
just makes me want to go soaring

-I sit down in my wicker chair
look up at the sky and stare

-I close my eyes before I pray
I take a deep breath and say

-Thank you Lord from up above
for sending down your amazing love

-Once i finish i know he knows I'm grateful
I sit back in the chair and tell him I'm thankful

-all of a sudden the world is lit up with a spark
and as it dies down the world is put in the dark

-I say "come back", just one little phrase
and then the huge sky is set a blaze

-Once again i look up at the sky
but this time i actually start to cry

-Then i look around again
and see the world at its end

-But this time as i sit here and cry
i know he came to take mine and there life

-And now I still cry
i watch them all die

-I scream out in fright
there dead bodies is the only thing in sight

-And then i hear a soft voice
he says I have a choice

-You can open your eyes to a new world
or you can stay here in your dream of turmoil

-I try to open my eyes
but someone whispers that there lies

-I'm scared, I start to panic
someone says everything is fantastic

-Out of the dark he came
and asked me my name

-he came closer, I started to cower in fear
he touched my cheeks and whipped at a tear

-I knew i was next, i was soon to be dead
he kissed my cheeks and said

-You shouldn't kiss your life good bye
cause it can be good in the blink of an eye

-I will give you one more chance
so live your life, but not in grievance

-I gave him a huge smile
and looked back at the blue sky for a while.
