"I drink my thoughts away
To find you at the bottom of an empty hope
To easily forget
Only to find the thoughts that trouble me
From the wish to close my eyes
And escape to the peaceful nothingness of my sleep
To dream in my sleep is foolish for me
For I live mine while I'm awake
To pray to escape from my life I will not
For in my sleep my soul
I put to sleep
And as my eyes grow heavy
Not have I dreamed of you
As I lived my life for I have escape them now
And can only hope to dream of you tomorrow."

    It was beautiful! The last two lines just tied in the poem perfectly. The imagery was effective and overall a great poem. *5/5*

    I liked this alot, though the structure did lack, I believe again if you put this into a poetic form it would look much neater and be easier to read. The meaning was great though and portrayed deep sadness within each word that was written. Well done none the less to your boyfriend or whoever wrote it. ~Mel

    Aww this one is really sweet but it lacks structure.. it was full of emotion though! i think it was really a great poem! :0]
