A Tale Of Ten Frights

by Kalgalath   Oct 24, 2007

This be quite a story,
Of ten frightful beings
I don't expect it to be boring
Though in the end you may be fleeing

There is the ghost,
In league with the skeleton
Neither have a host,
They were once great men

Here is the spider,
Always sneaking about
She is quite the hider,
So there's no need for a lookout

What does a pumpkin do?
Just sit there I suppose
I'm sure it has a great view,
In the garden with the crows

The owl sees well,
The bat has poor eyesight
Something that's mutual;
They're both flyers of the night

Nothing too particular,
About the black cat
But if it crosses perpendicular,
Bad luck you'll begat

Casting spells left and right,
Watch out for the witch
If ever you start a fight,
You'll probably be in the ditch

Ugly they are,
The goblins are mischievous
If one ever crosses your path,
Be sure to dismiss

Mostly fictional,
Are the first nine
This statement be true-
The wolf is not benign

It's the most fearsome,
You could truly be its meal
One thing that's certain,
Is that its threat is real
