The state of disrepair

by welshboy0112   Oct 25, 2007

Like a frosty winters night
Like the inner child dealt with such fright
Eyes closed but wide open
Jumping into the pit of despair
In a state of utter disrepair
A shadow of what could have been
Something lost within
A broken heart left too rot
Neither coming nor going
Just staying in a single stationary spot
Face down
Reflection in the bottom of a bottle
Realizing true potential only to awake
In a dream state only to fake
