Half a Breath

by Lady C   Oct 25, 2007

Can you miss something that was never there?
Can you mourn for that?
Let it take you over?

I wish that I wasn't so empty
So different, than what I was

I'm to spaced out,
My brain takes leaps to avoid it
It cuts me of, shuts me up
Makes me lash out

But I don't cry,
Tears are beneath me
I won't shed any for you,
You don't deserve it

Yet I've let you take me down
Allowed you to tear me apart
And I hate you for it,
I hate that you still mean everything
I hate that I can't forget you

I wish that you felt the same
That without me you heart aches so much that you can't sleep
That you pull your hair,
Cause you don't know anything else

And I wish you were like me,
Half a breath from turning to nothing...
