Dark Season

by Pete   Oct 25, 2007

The season of night,
Delight in this dark.
Starkly forlorn,
Dawn has departed.
Imparted this gloom,
Consumed in our lives
Defies to be known,
Blown from our sight
Light has been spurned
Turned perpetual dusk
Distrust to instil,
Will not be lit
It cannot be fought.
Brought on by you,
Due to your sin,
In the season of night.

I really like it, very creative and original poem. The atmosphere that you created is truly interesting and dark. Short but powerful piece, it deserves 5/5
