Crawling

by Romancing the Darker Side   Oct 25, 2007

Emptiness is an eternal doom,
She watches the hours tick on by.
Nevertheless an unimportant soul,
Tossed out to be forever forgotten.

With tired red eyes scratched away,
And skin crawling like all her demons,
Locked out of the true way of the light,
And she prays for some sort of redemption.

Struck in a frenzy of beautiful dreaming;
Pills that made her devils come alive,
Slip into her altered sense of reality,
And crawl away into the dead night.

Trapped inside this indecent corner,
She screams forever, a hollow note.
The bloody walls were not all they expected,
As she crawls away from this aching life.

    The title was a bit blunt, not enough power in it to get someone interested straight away.
    The poem itself didnt flow brilliantly, though it was well worded with emotion and good imagery.
