One Million Times...

by HUGIYDAWY   Oct 25, 2007

There was one time that I saw you, it gave me butterflies
And the two times that I held you, put tears into my eyes.
Three times did we talk, it made me feel complete
Four times you made me smile, not everything was bleak.
The fifth time that you touched me; I felt your sweet embrace
And when you stared into my eyes, it was the sixth time I'd felt in place.
The several times we smiled, made me want to make you mine
And the eight times that you laughed, nine times that you were kind.
Ten times you meant the world, and at eleven you were space
Twelve times it was beautiful, staring at your face.
Fifty times that I cried, thinking you would leave
One hundred times you remained, side by side with me.
But I could apologize one thousand times, and still nothing would change
Because after the million times I failed, your heart would rearrange.
For when I let you down, I see the pain in your eyes
I'm sorry that I hurt you; you have every right to cry.
Maybe I'm a waste of time, but every moment that our lips part
I shed a tear for hurting you, a thousand knifes to my heart.
