Money To Bring The Other Man

by Richard S   Oct 25, 2007

Why do I still always care,
Enough for others to often stare.
Everything tells me to "please beware".
Do you think that this is always fair.

You ask for my money while you tug at my heart.
I don't want to hear it, right from the start.
I put the horses before the cart.
My heart is on "Roll Back" at the local Wal-Mart.

But it's for your happiness I hear you say,
And I can't help thinkin' I'm at play.
You need the "new" man here today.
But you're not sure he will be here to stay.

You have no money to find what's true.
And bridges you've burned so you rely on few.
You turn to me 'cause you know I'm through,
With lies and hate. I'm wise to you.

You need to find a way in life.
Even if it costs me a little more strife.
I'll cough it up and can you sheath your knife.
'Cause my feelings when hurt are but a trif

Here's the dough and bring him here.
Find all about what you might have feared.
Talk to him close and be with him near.
And don't think of me and don't shed a tear.
