A Wilting Rose

A Wilting Rose.
By: Elaine.C.

I'm fading.
Like a wilting rose bathed in shadow,
for as the cold seeps into it's stem,
so does the cold seep into my heart.
For as the sun left and abandoned the flower,
so to this day did you leave and abandoned me.
And like the flower once beautiful,
So to was I, but now I'm nothing more,
than a wilting rose, left in the dark,
forever to be alone,
with this heart now made of stone.

Once again a fantastic title that will lure the reader in, the imagery in the first few lines were terrific. Every rose must die someday no matter how well it was taken care of. Amazing job 5/5 GG23
