Shadow

The shadow behind you is a person waiting to be seen
The whisper in your ear is a plea to be heard

No one listens to that shadow standing out side your ring
Out side the ring of bodies as invisible as the wind

Slowly the whispers get fainter and the shadow begins to fade
No one sees them going or the tears falling in a cascade

The shadow was a nobody with out a friend in site
That shadow that stood behind you is the boy they buried last night

That whisper had a family people that feel the loss
If only that ring had broken then there boy would still be in life/s fight
