When The Sky Turns Black.

by Teria   Oct 26, 2007

When The Sky Turns Black.

Flames arise in orange spurts, revealing death's heart.
Twisting about the air in such rage - slipping apart.

How certain is this life we live?
Deepening with each breath,
I cast shadows upon the side walk,
burning holes within the concrete.

Flames burn my skin, changing color as a chameleon
to blend in with the fire raging around my no longer palish flesh.

Shades of grey don't exist,
as my body turns to ash.
How important was my life?
I miss it already, living in hell.

When the sky turns black it matches my new skin,
the skin burned to ashes intertwining within the concrete.
