When the dark one comes

by Lenny   Oct 27, 2007

Oh frightening lover
Typing taunts of affection
Will you be gone?

When the dark one comes.

Orbiting your heathen spiral
My mind steals glances
And ever yet wonders
Where will you be?

When the dark one comes.

Piercing scriptures and kindling ashes
My predator lashed
Flickering tongue to taste me
But will he desist?

When the dark one comes.

When the black raven
Circles with cruel shadows
And fire consumes the gates of pearls
Will the frightening lover
Cast stones at him?

Blackening stones when
The dark one comes.

Its a good poem, but I found it very dark. Which isn't a bad thing at all.
I did enjoy reading it - thats a fact!
