Mother Earth

by oddi tea   Oct 27, 2007

You say you care
When you push me around
I must step up
Because I have now found

You are all the same
None of you care
You won't but your foot out
Its my heart that you tear

I can see no more
Of my children destroyed
I am mother earth
And there is still so much to avoid

Little children
Listen to me
You were raised better
You were meant to be free

Look all around
See what I see
The sadness in test rats
Hurts me so deeply

See the tall towers
And pollution spoiling my air
What was once so beautiful
Now just tossed aside without a care

Trash littering the sacred path
That once birthed the light of day
Now no one cares
That my family does lay

Help me out
This is my final plea
Help me live
Just set me free

"Mother Earht" , spell the title correct,
spelling errors will make any poem look bad ,
keep an eye on such things :)
