Chased Mouse

by Daran Roberton   Oct 27, 2007

Run Run got to run
Got to live this isn't fun.

I hate cats but they love me,
I'm their breakfast, dinner, tea,

I wish he'd go and chase a bird,
I know he does, or so I've heard,

But birds are safe 'cause they can fly,
they can live, I think I'll die.

Run Run got to run
Got to live this isn't fun.

I wish there was a dog 'round here,
He'd leave me then I know, no fear,

But there's no dog for miles around,
He's catching up he's gaining ground,

I must of run for miles by now,
I've got to get away somehow.

Run Run got to run
Got to live this isn't fun.

I'm tired now, I'm out of breath,
But must go on or hello death,

Jump the stick, mind the brick,
Got a stitch I feel sick,

But just a minute what's that there?
it looks just like a mouse's lair,

It is, it is, I'm going in,
The cats outside I'm safe I win.

Rest, Rest I'm the best,
I'll live today I got away.

I'm a mouse in this poem yes, and I intend to write more poems looking at life from an animals perspective in various situations.
