Snow

by Lady Nik   Oct 27, 2007

I'm sitting here
Nervous and just a little bored.
Holding myself
To escape the chills running down my spine.
Watching the rain.
Slowly transform into ice.
Sleeping under the stars.
Wishing to be in his arms tonight.
Loving the sound of the wind
From the earth's gentle breeze.
Thinking of how much I love it here
And how my soul feels free.
Seeing the sunset
Across the horizon.
Not wanting it to rise again.
Because I love the moon
And how it calms me
And makes me feel I'm at the sea.
But I know that sadly
The sun will take it's place
Back in the sky
Making the snow melt to dust
Leaving me behind
To adapt to the sunlight.

"Making the snow melt to dust
    Leaving me behind
To adapt to the sunlight. "

These lines were the best, but you know, the poem as a whole had a beautiful message and the imagery in it held so much power. 5/5
