Purple heart strings
Its a sacred place
Healing, living, loving-
Sanctuary

There are no rules
No time no gravity
Perfect flaming blue

Infinity with green and red
Serpentine twisting vines
Reaching between

Your heart-mind and mine.

We beat as one
And thoughts to come
Are our hearts beating in time?

To think
We had not spoken of this place til now

With warm mug against chest
Rain
Words

Beautiful words
Engraved softly on the faint entity
Of walls

Its cave-alien-reverie
We have no time
But it is the seventies

Flare and pohutukawa
Sun speckles through
Light sparking leaves

And the prettiest flames youve
Ever grieved
Flicker just for us.

Will you invite someone to our bridge?
Is it a place of pavlova
Jandals and sand

And all things kiwi
For the surge of patriotism
Comes with the place

Here I am the beach
And black singlet

If only you knew
Our infinity is here
But will we ever truly comprehend
This vortex?

Better yet
Are we supposed to?
Pink with a throbbing heat
Green heat
Purple heat
This is your heart, as I view it

The thing I see
Across the bridge.
