Drift

by Angel1030   Oct 28, 2007

Never to return He drifts away
Memories flood of the games we use to play
hurts to think of his name
For when I do, I have tears to tame

Patients wears thin, I have a life to live
but apparently not without him
It's hard to get up in the mornings but that depends
for if there are nightmares I rush to the phone to call...

He wouldn't at all....
when dreams were good, he's beside me
and I never want to wake
But always do and find dreams fake
Like the smile my friends take... as great

There are times when he drifts
Thinking he will return and my heart will lift
Thinking those times are worth the wait
just sitting and waiting for fate
