Laced Illusions

by Nix   Oct 28, 2007

While I stare into her white dress
-which luckily she has never wore-
I cry, washing the face with melting ice;
again- my sleepless nights are liquid.
Even the monsters pushed me away,
now, while the whole world is dying- no one sees.

Her silver necklace-
my source of crimson pain,
I cried out all blood, surely;

the controller of the world dropped commands,
so I'm getting lost in wanted touch.
One more part of my sinful heart is dying.

And I know- I could get her back,
but the doubt crawled through the void
that the others called -soul-.

I shoot the Moon,
pointed out hostility,
let the desperation be my blazon.
The love is most deathly bullet.
I'm dying in my immortality.

Laced glow we shared;
illusion, everything is scattered.
That's their united revenge-
God and the Devil- Universes maniacs;

Humiliated I bow the head.
It's not worth it- I know;
but as I stare in her white dress
- which unfortunately she has never wore-
I cry, washing the face with melting ice.

    Wow...
    I love this piece. I read it four times by now. The imagery is absolutely fantastic and the portrayed emotions endlessly intense. Whole piece is excellently written, filled with amount of touching feelings. Mixtures of emotions are truly overwhelming from the beginning to the end.
    My favorite stanza is:

    -I shoot the Moon,
    pointed out hostility,
    let the desperation be my blazon.
    The love is most deathly bullet.
    I'm dying in my immortality.-

    I like metaphorical content of this part. Truly effective.
