Halloween Nite

by Sydney   Oct 28, 2007

Only the moonlight guiding
You through the damp night.
Black and orange blinding you,
As you walk up and down the
Narrow streets. Little boys
And girls, going from house
To house, collecting sugar
Filled treats.

Jack-o-lanterns with
Many faces, and cobwebs
Decorating porches.
Spooky creatures waiting
For young ones
To stick their hands in
The candy filled bowls.

Hearing many different
Sounds, from the knocks on
Doors, to 'Trick-or-treat', to
The sound of the crackling
In the blazing bonfires, and
To the cars passing in the
Moonlight roads.

The imagery was great, but the repitition of mentioning the kids was used too much. Maybe try other words instead of 'boys are girls'. Twice can be okay, but if it doesn't flow, it won't sound right.
