Family Secret

by Isabella   Oct 28, 2007

The sharp pain in my chest,
lets me know that I'm dead.
The faded scars on my arms,
tells my story of a life in harm.

My eyes kept in the dark,
has lost all of their spark.
My smile ones bright and warm,
is now sardonic and calm.

My prom dress white and clean,
has riped at invisible seams.
Drenched in blood so dark,
makes all the dead dogs bark.

Locked up inside here I am,
killed like a sacrificed lamb.
Tricked to live a life lost,
by people that I loved.

Beautifully written. It is so sad. "My smile ones bright and warm, is now sardonic and calm." That was my favorite part of the poem. Very moving.
