Grey

~For Carrie... sorry if you find this a bit critical, i don't intend to be :( ~

She tightly closes her eyes
Open them, darling, open them
Refuses to unclose
Block out the past...
Yeah, you hope it goes
All that isolation...
Don't you just wish you could forget?
You can never forget, never
Or let it go unnoticed
Too much pain that time cannot erase
Opening your eyes
You see nothing but the colour
Your eyes were embedded with
Grey...Toneless and soulless
You still feel the pain inside though
Nothing will get rid of the hurt
So you hide it through half coloured eyes
Keep head strong, trust nothing
Maybe the greyness blocks it out
Those memories, the past, the fear you hide
One day... it'll all topple over
Breaking the great wall you once built
And clear tears falling through grey eyes
Nothing will be removed, no matter how strong you stay
