Won't let them...

by Valiantpenguin   Oct 29, 2007

Do you ever look in the mirror
Wonder how you turned out like this
Ask yourself, why am I here?
Then remain in your ignorant bliss

You know your friends only pretend
You know that they don't really care
Yet you remain loyal to them
Because true friendship for you is rare

At night you grasp your silver friend
The only one that's real
You're just so tired of feeling numb
This is the only way you can feel

All your friends criticize
Leave your feelings to fall like leaves to rake
But what they don't realize
Is that the smile they see has always been fake

And the one you loved
The one you gave your heart to
He's the only one who knows
The only one whose seen the real you

But he left, just like the rest
What else is new?
he's just like all the men in your life
Leaving is what they all do

But you keep your tears hidden
And hold your head up high
You won't let them see you fall
You won't let them see you cry
