6ft Under

by >> Beautifully Mistaken   May 8, 2004

I'm like a bird with no wings,
I cant fly,
I have no strength,
to stay in this life.
Inside me stirs a lie,
that haunts me every night.
A smile upon my face,
a lie everyday.
Look into my eyes,
What do you see?
The lies that are beneath my eyes,
The struggle to survive.
A girl that screams in her sleep,
scared to wake up from her dream,
and see the nightmare ahead of her.
Do you like what you see?
This girl deep inside of me,
The real girl inside of me,
that is me,
Not the one that smiles everyday,
but the one that crys out her pain.
Don't no why I am here,
haven't found my reason.
Its to late to find my way,
I have lost my will to live.
You cant see that smiling girl anymore,
Only the one 6ft under the ground.
