Despair

This sorrow sits deep inside
with defeat and fears
I try to hide
shadows at the very edge
teetering
about to fall off the ledge
my sanity is about to break
how much pain
can one person take?
I scream and cry
tremble and shake...

how I wish I wasn't awake
