The Dance.

by Phantasmagoria   Oct 29, 2007

A wolf in sheep's clothing,
were you the duckling?
Beautiful;
but only above the skin.
How will you dance
with that glass under your feet?
It is better to stop
now that there is so much ahead of you.
Throw away the promised
for what you will never have.
Your performance is over,
roses mesh with blood.
Give them a final bow
for a dance well done.

    Beautiful, I really enjoyed this poem. It was very short, sweet, and I liked its abstract nature. I only wish your poems were longer so I could enjoy more of it! Keep up the good work though :)
