Children of the Corn

by FairyofDarkness   Oct 29, 2007

Striking adults in the town
They use their weapons, steel
Stabbing at them slowly
Until their skin will peel

Breaking through the ears of corn
She sees the adults come
Her drawings represent the future
She dreads the feeling some

Isaac comands all her help
To find the eldest there
And if she makes one little mistake
No, she wouldn't dare

Salty tears roll down her cheeks
As lives are quickly taken
Sometimes she whispers quietly
All these children are mistaken

But the eldest children loudly laugh
As the people are violently slaughtered
They only think this should be done
In sacrifice for the father
