Left Alone

by Laura Straub   Oct 29, 2007

We are stuck in this
time-spun and woven
memory of you.
You left us, but we have not
forgotten. Little wisps of you
hover in my mind,
and only time will take
away your face.
And I grieve for your lost memories, but
mine too. Now I am alone in this
world, and time rolls forward.
I smile to myself,
thinking of when I will
meet you again.
