Another Lonely Night

by Kayla   Oct 29, 2007

Today just passes by,
Another day without you.
This lonely heart has grown cold,
I don't think I can look at you the same.
Why did you leave me alone?
I'm not really sure myself.
I love you baby, you know that,
Did I not treat you right?
Your gorgeous face,
That heart melting smile,
They haunt my dreams at night.
Sometimes I lie awake,
Trying not to close these eyes.
Memories are fading away,
I can't grasp them any longer.
I am unable to hold them close,
I guess I'll have to settle for this pillow.
Gonna hold it against my broken heart,
It'll be my only means of comfort.
You have no idea how difficult it is,
Not to have you lying by my side.
You don't get that I have nothing,
Everything I want is everything you are.
So I'll stain this pillow with salty tears,
And my not so pretty face...
Whenever I lie awake at night,
Still longing to hold you near.

    Deeply Sad,
You penned this clear and with deep emotions. A very relatible peice, often tears stain my pillow when i don't have Jakes chest to cry into. However I hope this wasn't based on life...
An excellent write Kayla, the flow wa s good, and the word choice appropriate.
