We Don't Exist

by EpithetPoet   Oct 30, 2007

Drink me down, a soft, slow sip,
Tentatively touching, breathing quick.
Whispers sear the echoed walls,
Dreaming, waiting for their chance to fall
On broken ears and heavy hearts
Fleeting moments when we were apart.
Gain the knowledge to let me pass
Flee the moments time elapsed.
Look at me now, look away just in time,
Too many looks makes me think you're a lie,
Shoulder by shoulder relieve the cloth,
Fluttering slowly as an injured moth,
Drink me down, a soft, slow sip,
Feed me now your mouth, tongue, lip,
Primal physical animalistic connection at best,
Tomorrow I'll forget that you ever did exist.
