Bittersweet Feast

by The Queen of Spades   Oct 30, 2007

The sweet taste of fire
Burns slowly in my mouth
As the scorched flames retire
My soul starts slipping south

Heat invading my core
Seeping through the cracks
My insides beg for more
On my skin are left the tracks

It creeps into my bones
I'm engulfed by the flames
Out of the dark pleasure I moan
And return for sinful games

Burned like a beautiful liar
Such a sweet, scalded taste
The lovely flavor of fire
Bittersweet, I shall not waste
