A Picture Frame

Your picture is in a frame of memories on my wall,
As I stare deeply into it and know I have your all,
But the picture cannot capture the beauty of your skin,
Or the blistering glow I feel, whenever you would grin.

Before you came I asked the Lord to free me from the blue,
As he brought me into heaven the day that I met you,
And on that day you looked up and calmly told me your name,
Was the same day I stopped staring into an empty frame.

So as I hand you this poem, it tells me ten months has passed,
And still having you in my life tell me our love will last,
So hanging in my heart is a picture of you and I,
As we capture togetherness as our love stays alive.
